Be Build yourself a gay bar; everyone else’s theatre is already taken.
— Almost Oscar Wilde
* almost a gay bar

Oscar Wilde and Jesus Christ Walk Into A Gay Bar is (almost) exactly what it sounds like. Oscar Wilde was a—dare we say it—notorious writer and philosopher who died over a hundred years ago, but he remains influential for a lot of reasons. First, he was gay in a time when being gay wasn’t really a thing (still relevant in a lot of ways). This impacted his life in many ways we can’t share because we’d kind of give away the show? But our Oscar is alive today. He speaks our modern language (he’s got quite a mouth on him), sings our modern music, and has rather a lot to say about our modern Jesus Christ.

Trevor Southworth stars, with a roaring score by Donald Rupe; arrangements and orchestrations by Jason M. Bailey. Devin Skorupski joins as the show’s third character. But that’s kind of a surprise too.

The first version of Oscar Wilde and Jesus Christ Walk Into a Gay Bar debuted at the Orlando Fringe Festival in 2021 to acclaim and filled houses. Trevor won “Best Actor” and the show received “Patron’s Pick.”

So come out to the gay bar... Sunday nights at 8 PM, either until people stop buying tickets or until we get tired of doing the show. So, never, we hope.*

* the truth is rarely pure and never simple, but in this case, people purely and simply stopped buying tickets after two months lol

Only 8 months ago, in normal human years, apparently? Well. Here was our web page about that.
